Privacy Policy
How Apedzii Offshore Private Limited collects, uses and protects personal data across the ConnectMyFile website and products.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. Who we are
ConnectMyFile is owned and operated by Apedzii Offshore Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the ConnectMyFile website and products (CMF POS, KitchenHub and CMF Audit), why we collect it, and the choices you have.
For most data inside the products, our business customer (the restaurant, kitchen or brand that holds the account) decides what is collected and why, and we process it on their instructions. For data we collect on this website and for our own account and billing records, we are the party responsible.
2. Data we collect
- Account and contact details: name, business name, work email, phone number, role, and login credentials (passwords are stored hashed).
- Business records our customers enter: orders, invoices, payments, stock, recipes, audits, and the names, phone numbers, addresses and tax IDs of their own customers, suppliers and staff.
- Messaging data: when a customer connects a WhatsApp Business number, we process the recipient phone number, the message content and templates, documents sent, delivery and read status, and replies received on that number.
- Website and demo requests: the details you type into our forms, and any message you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and log records needed to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we use data
- To provide, maintain and support the products our customers have subscribed to.
- To send transactional messages on a customer's behalf, such as invoices, order updates and payment reminders, by email or WhatsApp.
- To reply to enquiries and demo requests, and to manage our own billing and accounts.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and investigate faults.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customer business records for advertising.
4. WhatsApp and Meta
Our products can send and receive WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. When a customer connects their WhatsApp Business account, we access it only with the permissions they grant, and only to send messages, manage message templates and show conversations inside their own account.
Messages are sent to people who have a business relationship with our customer. Message content passes through Meta's systems and is also subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy. A customer can disconnect their WhatsApp account from the product settings at any time, after which we stop sending and stop receiving messages for that number.
5. Who we share data with
- Service providers that host and run the service for us, such as cloud hosting, storage, email delivery and messaging providers (including Meta for WhatsApp). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Our business customer, for data held in their own account.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect legal rights.
- A successor entity, if the business is merged, acquired or reorganised, under the same protections as this policy.
6. Storage, security and retention
Data is stored on cloud infrastructure with access controls, encryption in transit, role-based permissions inside the product, and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
We keep customer account data for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so the customer can export it, unless a longer period is required by law (for example tax and accounting records). Website enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance.
If your data was entered into a product by one of our business customers, please contact that business first; we will help them respond. To stop receiving WhatsApp messages from a business, you can reply to that business asking to opt out, or block the number in WhatsApp.
8. Deleting your data
To ask for your data to be deleted, contact us using the details below and tell us the account, phone number or email the request relates to. We will confirm the request and delete or anonymise the data within a reasonable time, except where we must keep it by law.
9. Cookies
This website and our products use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and keep the service secure.
10. Children
Our products are built for businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be notified to account holders.
